7 days…
Oh my gosh! I am so nervous! I haven’t even started packing anything up yet!
But I do have little piles of things lying around my room including my old Japanese language books from college. I also have a HUGE pack of batteries for my camera. Japan does have similar battery types, but I prefer to be prepared for all of the photo-taking I plan on doing.

I will have two suitcases that I will check and then a small suitcase and a backpack for carry on. I’ve been reviewing the TSA and Delta baggage guidelines so that I can get through security smoothly and that my checked baggage won’t be horribly torn up when I see it again.
This next week is going to consist of packing, which I will start on Sunday mostly due to the fact that the suitcases take up a lot of floor space in my bedroom. Probably some last-minute study time with my Japanese text books and my pre-training materials. I really wish that I could pack up all of my stuff, but clearly I can’t. I’ll also get to see my sister and she will hang around for my departure too! And I plan on gorging myself on tasty things that I probably can’t get in Japan, like my mom’s Pumpkin Pie, or eating at Red Lobster. (I did Olive Garden the other day and I was so full I couldn’t even eat the mint that comes with the bill!)
Basically this week will consist of hanging out with my family, eating delicious things, and packing. Which overall is a pretty good week. I’m doing my best to keep my stress levels to a minimum. This includes many hot baths and scented candles.
ALSO: I will be keeping track of my updates and entries on my computer, but I probably won’t be able to make any posts for at least a month. It takes quite a bit of time to get home internet set up in Japan. But I will have all of my entries saved so that I can pick up right where I left off and keep you updated on everything going on! If I do make a post during my month-long radio silence it might be because I was able to borrow a coworker’s computer or I might be at an internet café. I’ll let you know when I have my own internet again.
Back to enjoying a relaxing week! I’ll try to post again before I leave! Take Care!
